Diocletian's Palace

is a 4th century palace that is classified as the world's oldest.
I went and visited it the other day. People live here still.

That stone you walk on is from the 4th century

Some videos...

Here are a few videos that I took down at the beach the first week I was here. Between the 5th and 12-13th of October. All these videos were on the same day.

Bacvice Beach, South Shore

Some pics I've taken at the beach in Split. As you can see, the water is very clear here. It's awesome to swim in although now it is too cold. I was able to swim quite a few times actually. I have some swimming goggles that I wore so I could see underwater. Lots of different fish to see. Small ones, but a few big ones. Didn't see crabs or any crawling things, though.

Cool boat I saw in one of the harbors here

Moving again...

My visa thing didn't work out in Prague, so I moved to Split, Croatia, a little town on the coast. It's the 2nd largest city in Croatia after Zagreb, which is the capital city. Population is about 180K here. I'll be moving back to Prague next spring.

I left Prague at Midnight on 5 September on an overnight train to Budapest. Apparently, when I purchased the ticket online, I neglected to purchase the bunk that I was sleeping in. Even though, I put that I was in a 2 bunk sleeper. Long story short, I didn't have another person in my sleeper, but that didn't matter as I didn't sleep AT ALL!!! I thought my overnight train trip to Medford, OR was bad! This was worse! I was practically being thrown around the sleeper! Needless to say, I'm never taking another overnight train anywhere.

I spent about 5 hours in Budapest before I jumped on another train to Zagreb, Croatia. I spent the night in Zagreb and then, got on another train to Split, on the coast of Croatia.

How I spent the last days of summer....Swimming!

I found this lake near where I lived and went swimming there for about a good 1 1/2 weeks before it got too cold.

Coins of the Czech Republic

The currency in the Czech Republic is known as the Koruna. They are mostly called Crowns.

They used to have a 50 note (paper), but they discontinued it.

Nice park on the westside of Prague

That bridge is actually the Metro. One of the few places it runs above ground

Alright people, I'm trying blogger again. My Wix site was too har to maintain, so I'm posting some of the same stuff you have probably seen before along with some new stuff. I'm also adding different pages so I can talk about other things besides my travels.
